FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What reclaimed wood species do you typically stock?
We keep heart pine, white and red oak, Douglas fir, maple, hemlock, chestnut, plus rotating specialty lots sourced weekly across NYC sites.
How quickly can you deliver within the NYC tri-state area?
Most in-stock orders deliver in 3–5 business days; rush same- or next-day delivery is available on a case-by-case basis.
Can you mill reclaimed lumber to custom profiles?
Yes. Our LIC mill handles planing, resawing, tongue-and-groove, shiplap, and custom knives for bespoke profiles and mouldings.
What is the typical lead time for kiln drying and processing?
Standard processing runs 10–15 business days; kiln drying is 7–14 days. We offer expedited lanes when capacity allows.
Do you provide documentation for LEED or material provenance?
Every order can include species verification, source details, and carbon savings data to support LEED MR credits and sustainability reporting.
Why Reclaimed Lumber?
Old Wood. New Purpose. Better Planet.
Environmental Impact
Every board foot of reclaimed lumber saves approximately 3.5 lbs of CO₂ emissions. Reclaimed wood requires zero deforestation and diverts material from landfills.
Unmatched Character
Old-growth wood grain patterns, hand-hewn textures, nail holes, and natural patina create a warmth and authenticity that new lumber simply cannot replicate.
Superior Quality
Many reclaimed timbers come from old-growth forests — denser, more rot-resistant, and more dimensionally stable than anything commercially available today.
