Four Steps

From Request to Quote

01

Send a Request

Fill in the quote form with what you need (or what you want to sell): product, species if you know it, dimensions, quantity, grade, and your ZIP code. The more detail, the better the quote.

02

We Pass It On

New York Lumber sends your request to partner suppliers in our network who may be able to help with that material and location.

03

A Partner Supplier Follows Up

A partner supplier contacts you to confirm details, answer questions, and prepare a quote covering material, any milling, and pickup or delivery.

04

You Decide

Compare the quote with your plans and budget. There is no obligation to buy. If you go ahead, you deal directly with the partner supplier on price, terms, delivery and returns.

Good to Know

Pricing, Grades and Availability

Pricing is by quote. Reclaimed wood prices depend on species, grade, dimensions, quantity, milling and delivery, and they change with supply. Partner suppliers set their own prices.

Grades vary by supplier. Reclaimed grades usually describe character (nail holes, checking, patina) and soundness. Ask the supplier to describe the grade, and request samples for visible applications. See the grading guide.

Availability changes. Reclaimed stock depends on what has been salvaged recently. Listing acceptable alternatives (another species, width or grade) makes it more likely a partner supplier can help.

Selling wood? Describe the species if known, sizes, approximate quantity, condition (nails, paint, rot) and where it is. A partner supplier may follow up with an offer or pickup options.
